Every kitchen we build starts as a measured drawing. Below is a live example: deep cabinetry, Calacatta marble worktops, brushed gold handles and a 1520 × 620mm island, set inside a 2465 × 4380mm room with a 2445mm ceiling. Walk through it in 3D, then book a survey for your own space.

Layout logic

The work triangle runs tight: sink under the window, hob on the long run with the chimney hood above, and the tall oven and microwave housing in the return so nothing blocks the walkway. The island sits centrally, leaving roughly 900mm circulation to each run and a seating overhang.

Storage

Full-height drawers on the hob run, a 150mm pull-out spice tower beside it, a twin-bin pull-out under the sink and a fully integrated dishwasher. Wall cabinets are kept to two short runs so the room stays open.

Light

Two brass pendants over the island, recessed downlights on a separate circuit, and concealed LED under the wall cabinets to wash the stone.

05Programme

The build, in order

  1. 01

    Strip out

    Remove the oak shaker units, tiled splashback, laminate worktops and the tiled floor. Cap services and make good the plaster.

  2. 02

    First fix

    Reposition sockets, add island power, run new hob and oven circuits, duct the extractor to the north wall, move waste for the sink and dishwasher.

  3. 03

    Shell

    Skim walls and ceiling, lay large-format porcelain flooring, fit new recessed ceiling lights on two circuits.

  4. 04

    Cabinetry

    Install base runs to the north, east and south walls, the 2445mm tall oven housing, wall cabinets and the 1520 × 620 island.

  5. 05

    Stone & appliances

    Template and fit the Calacatta marble tops and upstands, then the hob, oven, microwave, integrated dishwasher and chimney hood.

  6. 06

    Finishing

    Gold handles and tapware, pendant lights over the island, plinths, sealant, seal the marble and snag.

Notes

  1. 01All panel sizes are finished sizes in millimetres — length × width. Add 1mm per edge where edge-banding is applied.
  2. 02Verify every run on site before cutting: the north-east corner is chamfered 1090mm and walls are out of square.
  3. 03Carcasses 720 high on a 150 plinth, 30mm Calacatta top = 900 finished worktop height.
  4. 04Grain runs vertically on all finished end and back panels.
